Our Organization

Our school is a for-profit organization that consists of an executive director, an education director, an administrative assistant, office personnel, teachers, teacher assistants, a chef, and a maintenance worker, and available parent volunteers. Our school personnel works cohesively in establishing goals standards and expectations in an effort to achieve achieving the school’s mission in a warm, and supportive environment.

Partnerships with Our Team

Building partnerships with our families and community resources has empowered us and our students to achieve their highest level of potential. We are proud to be aligned with our local community partners such as:

113^th Precinct and the NYFD which provides safety and protection during certain events and
Colgate Bright Smiles provides dental services to our students twice per year.

Under the leadership and guidance of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer and Mrs. Green, have worked diligently to prepared students for school readiness while building their confidence and character so that they become self-assured.

Through an enriched developmentally appropriate curriculum, students are exposed to language and literacy, mathematical concepts, social studies, scientific awareness, creative movement and aesthetics, multicultural awareness, and Spanish acquisition. In addition, our computer lab is equipped to foster students’ technological skills while they explore the world of technology.

History

Sunshine Learning Center, Inc. was established in October 1998. We are licensed by the New York City Department of Health as an Early Childhood Facility. Our school stands on the premise that each child is special and unique in his or her own way and should be exposed to Quality Early Childhood Education regardless of his or her capabilities, religion, or cultural background.

Sunshine Learning Center’s mission, goals, and vision are aimed towards achieving excellence, not only in education but also in their social and emotional development. The school under the guidance and leadership of our administration and dedicated and hardworking staff has worked diligently to prepare students for school readiness while building their confidence and character so that they become self-assured. We are determined to achieve educational excellence.
