Our Organization

At Sunshine Learning Center, our passionate and diverse team works together to make every child’s early learning experience joyful and inspiring. Led by our Educational Directors, our dedicated teachers, assistants, and support staff, including our friendly chef and caring maintenance team, we aim to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment each day. We proudly partner with families across Queens to uphold high standards and nurture every child’s confidence, creativity, and curiosity from the very start.

Under the caring leadership of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer and Mrs. Green, our team is dedicated to helping young learners build confidence, character, and a lifelong love of learning. Together, we focus on school readiness while nurturing each child’s sense of self, ensuring they feel capable, curious, and well-prepared for future academic success.

Our enriched, developmentally appropriate curriculum offers a balanced and engaging learning experience designed to spark curiosity across every area of growth. Children explore key domains such as language and literacy, early mathematics, social studies, science and discovery, creative movement and the arts, multicultural awareness, and Spanish language learning. Each activity encourages hands-on exploration, creativity, and self-expression which helps our students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

History

Sunshine Learning Center, Inc., established in October 1998, is a proud, licensed Early Childhood Education facility under the New York City Department of Health. For more than two decades, we’ve been dedicated to providing high-quality early learning experiences that celebrate each child’s individuality. We believe every child is unique and deserves access to exceptional education in a warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment — regardless of ability, religion, or cultural background.

Our mission is to achieve excellence in education while supporting every child’s social and emotional growth. Guided by our experienced leadership and a team of passionate educators, we prepare students for school readiness through personalized attention, encouragement, and a strong sense of belonging. At Sunshine Learning Center, we help children build confidence, character, and curiosity that will carry them well beyond their preschool years.

Through our enriched, developmentally appropriate curriculum, students explore a balance of academic and creative disciplines, including language and literacy, early mathematics, social studies, science exploration, creative movement and the arts, multicultural awareness, and Spanish language learning. Our computer lab further enhances learning by introducing children to technology in fun, age-appropriate ways, encouraging digital curiosity and discovery.
